Circling the Ring of Kerry

I knew that I wanted to see the Ring of Kerry, even if I didn’t quite know what it was (I now know that it is a 179 km circular road in County Kerry that goes from Killarney, around the Iveragh Peninsula, through Sneem, Waterville, Cahersiveen, and Killorglin, with many interesting and scenic sights along the way). I had heard tell that it was incredibly beautiful and worth a look, so I went ahead and booked myself a tour. Paddywagon Tours again, because I loved it the first time. Ended up with the same tour driver, which was fun.

Our day was cloudy and cold, but visibility was great, which I am told makes all the difference. Still, it was bloody freezing every time we got off the bus, and I found myself rushing to get my photos and get back to warmth. I got home and my hands were red, chapped, and curled into claw-like hooks for an hour!

It was totally worth it, though, and I would absolutely do it again, claw hands and all. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
