Crème Brûlée and TOMS | Our Favorite Things: The Jessica Edition

Crème brûlée

This is my absolute favorite dessert. It is difficult to do right, but when it is, it’s an absolute dream. That’s why you can bet that if there is crème brûlée on the menu, I will be ordering it. One of my favorite things to do is order this dessert at different restaurants and see how it stacks up to others that I’ve tried. I have experienced some phenomenal confections, as well as some dismal failures. The last one I had was about a month and a half ago, and it was a raspberry crème brûlée. Much too eggy, though. Anyway, you can count on there being some reviews of different restaurants’ attempts at making this finicky dessert! And I can’t wait to do all that field testing… :)

Have you heard of these phenomenal shoes? I adore them. They are very comfortable and very stylish, as well as civic minded! Does it get better than that? The deal is that every time you buy a pair of TOMS, the company donates another pair to a child in need of shoes. So you can rest assured that you’re helping out while you’re indulging your fashionista cravings!

They have many different styles available, in really cute designs, and if you have small-ish feet (about a size 7 and under) you can get away with ordering the children’s sizes to make it a bit cheaper. I even convinced Bryan to get a pair of the Botas, even though he wasn’t sure that they would be flattering on his size 13 feet. He loves them now, and we look especially adorable in all our matching TOMS glory! (They don’t really match. His are black and look like high-tops, and mine are pink and canvas). There are also services available on sites like Etsy to have your TOMS painted with different designs, which is also really cute. My current favorites (besides my own pink ones) are these. What are your go to shoes for comfort and style?
